December 01, 2004Oops! But now I'm backSomehow an old photo became the number 1 hit on Google images for a particular NPR voice, and most of my months' bandwidth was gobbled up in three short days. Hopefully that will never happen again. Don't worry, corrective meausres are being taken! I can't believe it's been a month since I wrote. Here are the knitting updates: I got premission to knit during group meeting. Two hours on Monday afternoon. Almost every week. Sometimes there's extra group meeting if we don't finish on time or if people are preparing presentations. So I'm knitting a lot of plain ol' stockinette socks. Leg and foot during group meeting, cuffs, heels, and toes during undergrad classes. Grad school may not be so bad after all! So where are the photos of these fine objects? Um, I'll take some after my project, papers, and two presentaitons for the end of term are done. Oh, and two finals. And an exam this Saturday. In the meantime, I will placate you with pictures of a beautiful blanket that my mom made for a friend's baby. You can see the whole thing, and a close-up of the stitch pattern. Maybe Sundae will write the blog for a couple weeks...

what picture/NPR voice? *confusion* Posted by: coraline at December 1, 2004 08:55 PMoh and i am SO jealous of your permission to knit in meeting. Glad you are back, heard you made a great Thanksgiving dinner. So that's what happened. I missed you! Hmm, someone should make a blogring for grad student knitters. I've lost count of how many of those are on my blogroll now. (Of course, probably all the grad student knitters are too busy student-ing or knitting to administer a blogring *grin*) Posted by: Jaimi at December 2, 2004 08:57 AMI'm glad you're back. Good luck on your test and presentations. Posted by: Judy at December 2, 2004 01:11 PMWhat a beautiful blanket. Your mom must be an amazing friend! Posted by: Angi at December 3, 2004 11:32 PMYay!
