A New Semester

The new term started Monday and I'm already worrying that I'll be in over my head, but I'm also looking forward to it. My grad classes will be challenging, and I'm also taking and undergraduate programming course. I don't think it will be particularly tough, but it will take a lot of time. The good part: lecture is kind of slow and it's ok if I knit. In fact, between group meeting yesterday and that class today, I did the foot and toe of a sock. So I guess this semester will turn out ok after all!

Hopefully I'll add some photos for project updates in the next couple days. I made a hat (with sparkles!) that looks funny on, and then I remade it and it's only slightly better. It's top is blocking now, so maybe that will be a little improvement. Tangerina is also on the blocking board, and hopefully that will be dry in a few days and sent off after that. I'll definitely take photos before I let it go. The goddess shawl is progressing nicely, and I did a few rows of the band of the red and black sweater. I'll try to do some photos in the morning when there's light. It's been grey and misty here all day.

I got the new issue of Vogue in the mail today. Do you need mitered squares pants for you walk on the beach? I might, however, need some knit paniers for my bike. But I bet they'd just get muddy...

Knit Paniers! Who thinks of these things!

Knit paniers are by Norah Goughan. She has a lot of fabulous designs, including my lopi sweater that I finished in December 2003. (There should be a picture of it around Christmas.)

Sure, they're not so practical, but they're so pretty! I want them. :)

Oh no....I really like Nora Gaughan - say it isn't so!! My copy of Vague showed up today, so I'll have to dig in and see what other atrocities they've come up with. :)
