...after passing orals!

Well, I wouldn't have passed me, but I'm sure glad my committee did! After only an hour I guess I convinced them that I know enough about what I'm doing, even if that's not so much about chemistry. I'm now looking forward to knitting and spinning again, and I promise a decent update by Monday at the latest. I should have an in-progress sweater for you, hopefully some new spinning (and at least some new fiber) and a coupld hats that went to an orphanage in Kazakstan.

But now, well-deserved rest before an early-morning meeting about my thesis work. It's kind of like, "Today is the beginning of the rest of your graduate career!" Don't worry, I'll take my meeting sock. :)

YOU ROCK! I still can't imagine it.
Marta, who opted to spend 14 weeks and $500 rather than sit before a couple math department types and pass out of class.
